Our caregivers handle the daily tasks that become hard with age — bathing, dressing, meals, medication reminders, and the kind of company that makes a long afternoon shorter.

Relief for family caregivers — a weekend, a week, or a long-term arrangement. Because caring for a parent should not cost you your own health.

Flexible 24-hour
02 · How It Works

From the first call to the first shift, in days — not weeks.

Most agencies put you through a sales process. We start with a conversation. Tell us what's happening; we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.

i

Tell us your story

A 20-minute call — usually with a family member, sometimes with the client themselves. We listen first. No script, no pressure, no upsell. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so and refer you somewhere good.

Same-day call back
ii

Build the care plan

A licensed nurse visits the home — free, no obligation. We write a plan together: schedule, tasks, preferences, and the small things that matter (preferred caregivers' names, language, favorite breakfast, the dog).

Within 48 hours
iii

Meet your caregiver

You meet the matched caregiver before any shift starts. If the chemistry isn't right, we re-match — no questions, no charge. The relationship is the point.

First shift in 3–5 days
03 · Where We Serve

Houston is our only market. By design.

National agencies dispatch from a phone tree. We dispatch from down the street. Our caregivers know the traffic on 290, the parking at Methodist, the bakery your mother likes on Bissonnet.

04 · Our Story

A Houston family, caring for Houston families.

We named the company Asa — a biblical name meaning "healer" — because we wanted a name that meant something the moment you said it. Not a slogan. Not an acronym. A word that carries its own weight across the traditions that shape this city.

Asa Care Partners was founded by a Houston healthcare team who watched the national agencies grow large, slow, and impersonal. Our parents are getting older. Our neighbors are getting older. The people who drove us to school, who packed our lunches, who showed up to every game — they are the ones who need help now. We thought they deserved better than a 1-800 number routed through a call center in another state.

So we built something small on purpose. Local owners. Local caregivers. A real phone number that a real person answers — including at 11 p.m., when most calls about a parent actually happen.

Our Promise

If we wouldn't send our caregiver to our own mother, we won't send them to yours.

05 · Transparent Pricing

No hidden fees. No surprise invoices.

Most agencies make you call to get a price. We don't. Here is roughly what care costs in Houston in 2026 — at our agency and at the others. The conversation should start with the truth.

06 · Caregiver Careers

Caregivers are not contractors. They are the company.

Most agencies treat caregivers like a temp pool. We treat them like the reason we exist. If you're a CNA, HHA, or experienced caregiver in the Houston area, we want to talk.

07 · Frequently Asked

Honest answers to the questions families actually ask.

No marketing copy. If your question isn't here, call us. We'll tell you the truth — including when the truth is "we're not the right fit."

Home health agencies provide skilled, medical care — wound care, IV therapy, physical therapy — under physician orders, often paid for by Medicare. Non-medical home care (which is what we provide) helps with the activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, meals, companionship, transportation. It's typically private-pay or covered by long-term care insurance and VA benefits. Many families need both. We can refer you to a trusted home health partner if you do.

Yes. We work with most major long-term care insurance carriers and we accept VA Aid & Attendance benefits. We'll help you understand what your policy covers, file the paperwork, and submit care logs in the format your carrier requires. There's no charge for that help — it's part of working with us.

This is the most common reason families wait too long. We start small on purpose — sometimes just a few hours a week of companion care, often framed as help for the spouse rather than the parent themselves. We match for personality, language, and shared interests, and you meet the caregiver before any shift starts. Most clients come around within two or three visits. The ones who don't, we honor — we'd rather lose the work than push someone past their comfort.

Employees. All of them. This matters more than it sounds — it means we handle background checks, payroll taxes, workers' comp insurance, and ongoing supervision. Agencies that use contractors push that liability onto you (or onto the caregiver). It also means we can train, support, and retain caregivers properly, which is why our retention is far above industry average.

Yes — and this is one of our promises. We schedule for continuity, not for convenience. For most ongoing clients, we use a primary caregiver plus one trained backup who already knows the home, the routine, and the client. You will not get a different person every week. If you do, something has gone wrong and we want to hear about it.

Personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers), meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, transportation, companionship, and respite for family caregivers. Under Texas PAS guidelines, we do not administer medication, perform wound care, give injections, or operate medical equipment. If your loved one needs those services, we'll tell you and help you find a home health partner.

Most clients have their first shift within 3–5 days of the initial call. For urgent post-hospital discharges, we can often start within 24–48 hours. The free in-home nurse assessment usually happens within 48 hours of your first call.
